Amy and Alex had the most glorious summer Kent Garden Wedding, in the heart of Kent at their families home. They were blessed with such perfect weather we could hardly believe it! Amy and her bridesmaids started the day by getting ready in the main house, whilst the incredible marquee was being set up outside. It was such a chilled morning, with the anticipation for the day ahead building rapidly as time went on.
Once ready, we all walked over to St Mary’s Sutton Valence Church that was handily just across the road, for such a wonderful ceremony. Alex was ready and waiting, although looking slightly nervous – but it was definitely all smiles throughout the service! We then lined up everyone outside the church on the path for a fun confetti photo before Amy and Alex led the way to the drinks reception on the terrace of the house.
The marquee was now set up and ready to go and looked absolutely stunning. Amy and Alex had a certain vision, and a lot of time and effort went into making it a reality – and it was definitely worth it! I loved the different approach with the transparent roof on the marquee, it made all of the difference with the lighting, and it really made you feel like you were still outdoors especially with all of the open sides as well.
After a few fun group photographs, we headed inside to enjoy the first speech from the father of the bride, as well as a poem from the mother of the bride, before tucking into an amazing three course meal. Just before speeches, myself, Amy and Alex all headed out and caught the light at the most beautiful time of day, golden hour, and took some of my favourite portraits of the season!
We soon went back in for the last of the speeches, and laughed and cried throughout them. It then wasn’t long before the sun quickly set and the party kicked off in full force! We were then all treated to an amazing fireworks display – such a fun way to end a brilliant Kent garden wedding. Thank you so much Amy and Alex for having me along, I loved every minute!
